Underwriter

Duties & Responsibilities:
Approves or denies loan applications. Reviews and evaluates information on loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet established and gov’t standards. Determine terms and acceptability of risk of prospective business lines. Approves or rejects loan application, or requests additional information and establishes max loan value and debt to income. Assembles documents in loan files, including acceptance or denial, and returns files to processor and/or originating mortgage loan officer. Processes existing and new loan request by reviewing applications, credit histories and collateral relationship with bank (other accounts), and prepares cash flow worksheets or self-employed income analysis, and communicates the loan decisions to account officers, loan officers,and/or loan proccesors. Specifies conditions for loan approval.

5 years related experience. Associate’s degree preferred
